“As I talk about the Sun, I talk about us, I talk about the Sun and narratives of eco-liberation. Perhaps what’s dying is our fear of confronting and accepting the natural decay of obsolete systems that must change, and advocating for them. There’s no need to be afraid. Ground yourself. Collective liberation is always uncomfortable, as much as the transformation of this world is both urgent and necessary."
AFTER THE DEATH OF THE SUN

The lecture-performance "After the Death of the Sun" connects with Solarity Prospects by narrating science and fiction stories about the end. Simultaneously, it calls for responsibility and intersectional awareness in the present, encouraging contemplation of our collective role in shaping solar-powered and solidarity futures in the meantime.

The lecture performance was presented at the opening of the solo exhibition "Solar Capital" by Hugo de Almeida Pinho, within the context of "Solarity Prospects", a project that involves platforms for discussions about contemporary and historic politics of the Sun.
