LIVING TERRITORIES

ABOUT
The displayed images were collected in the book “Permaculture: A Designer’s Manual” (1988) by Bill Mollison. Permaculture consists in the development of agricultural ecosystems intended to be sustainable and self-sufficient. It’s a philosophy and practice of Natural, Social and Subjective ecosystems perceived as one living organism. Even though the concept was first presented in this book, the knowledge that it carries is ancient. It belongs to the living Bibliothek of Planet Earth. Many indigenous cultures have been also practicing this comovisión of living systems for thousands of years (without patenting a concept). This art work intends to exist as an experimental platform for social, cultural and ecological education towards an ancient way of perceiving and practicing common life between the microbiological cells and emotions, the human embodied actions, the social environment and the global and planetary spheres.

A number of workshops, talks and performances are planned to collect thoughts on the transient state of life, growth, death and rebirth through the following questions: WHAT IS ALIVE? WHAT
IS BLOOMING? WHAT IS COLLAPSING? WHAT NEEDS TO BE CULTIVATED?
Through this work we aim to activate collective strategies for a radical empathic and ecological future that is understood from the perspective of the end of capitalism and a new beginning based on ancient wisdom.
